At Activate House, our community thrives on the passion and dedication of our coaches. That’s why we’re launching the Coach Spotlight Series, where we highlight the incredible people behind the scenes. This week, we’re thrilled to introduce Vito, one of our talented and inspiring instructors.
Born and raised in Sicily, Italy, Vito moved to the U.S. at just 16 years old. His fitness journey didn’t start with a love for exercise—in fact, he struggled to find a positive connection with working out until discovering indoor cycling. That one moment changed everything.
“I started riding, auditioned, and trained in less than a year because I was so committed,” Vito shares. “The leading coach where I first started saw something in me and believed in my abilities, which inspired me to become a coach myself. Her support was a game-changer.”
Vito has been coaching since 2020 and hasn’t looked back. What keeps him motivated? The opportunity to positively impact his riders’ lives.
“Even on my toughest days, knowing I can inspire someone—even if it’s just one person—drives me forward. Helping others feel confident and push their limits is what fuels my passion for coaching,” he says.
For Vito, spin classes are more than a workout—they’re a party on a bike. “It’s like dancing and singing while sweating. Who doesn’t love a dance party on a bike?” Outside of spin, Vito also loves heated sculpt classes and group fitness sessions, which take the guesswork out of planning a workout.
If you’ve taken Vito’s class, you’ve probably noticed his love for singing. It’s no surprise—he even auditioned for America’s Got Talent!
For anyone starting their fitness journey, Vito has one key piece of advice: “Be authentic. Fitness is personal, not a comparison game. Focus on what feels good for your body, take rest days when needed, and remember it’s about feeling strong and happy in your unique way.”
In class, you’ll often hear Vito say, “Let’s make it count.” His personal mantra, lead with intention, is a powerful reminder to approach every action with purpose and mindfulness.
“It’s about making every moment worthwhile and aligning your actions with your values,” he explains.
When he’s not coaching, Vito enjoys exploring new coffee shops, painting ceramics, and spending time with friends and family. His post-workout meal of choice? Panang curry or anything with chicken.
For Vito, Activate House is more than a studio—it’s a community. “This space has given me the opportunity to express myself through movement and be my authentic self. It’s where energy, connection, and growth thrive.”
Vito’s classes are all about inclusivity, fun, and empowerment. He encourages everyone to modify movements based on their needs and strives to create a judgment-free environment.
“It’s about celebrating what your body can do and having fun with it. Tough days happen, and that’s okay—there’s always tomorrow to try again.”
Stay tuned for more features in our Coach Spotlight Series, and be sure to catch one of Vito’s classes to experience the energy and passion he brings to every ride!
