Spring is always a time of renewal and rebirth. The season itself sheds light on leaving winter behind, it’s a time of fresh blooms, vibrant colors and a time of possibilities.
As much as we love winter, being cozy inside, feeling warm and fuzzy, there’s something to be said about new beginnings and a season that gears up for summer. A new season calls for new opportunities, habits and a fresh start.
As Spring is upon us, here are 4 ways we are preparing for the change of season:
01. Make a fresh playlist.
Nothing says new without a fresh playlist to listen to on your drive home or while on your break at home. We curated a Spring Playlist to welcome the new season ahead of us. Listen here.
02. Attend a Yoga Class
Ever heard of the saying, “We bend so we don’t break”? We like to stretch, lengthen, shake away any stagnant energy we may have been holding onto for winter. Disconnect from the world for 30-60 mins and bring in spring with movement. We’re excited to be hosting 2 special Yoga classes in our space this Spring:
Latin Flow Yoga on Friday’s at 4pm, Think strong yoga poses to a laying hot mix, it’s like Yoga with an added Spice.
Soul Flow Yoga on Sundays at 10:30am. R&B, Chill-hop, 90’s hip hop are all on deck.
03. Declutter.
Nothing screams Spring, like spring cleaning. We like to start by organizing and cleaning out one thing a day. Decluttering can be such a daunting task, why not tackle one thing a day. So very Marie Kondo of us. A clean closet, car, home, desk creates a clear mind. Start with one drawer, one side of the closet a day and watch it become a big change.
04. Start a night routine.
Que up a meditation playlist as you wind down for bed. We recently discovered a meditation playlist to be used for sleep on Spotify. It’s been our nightly routine as we wind down for bed, we throw it on sometimes 20-30 mins before we hit the bed.
Turn the kettle on- drinking tea, specifically a ginger or chamomile tea can be a game changer in getting major Zzzz. Trader Joe’s has a variety of teas to get you in the mood for a good night sleep.
All electronics off/ dimmed 30 mins before bed. Siri loves to remind us to start winding down for our sleep schedule and as soon as Siri does, we like to shut the TV off and make sure electronics/ phones are dimmed.
However you plan on transitioning from Winter to Spring, we hope that you find balance, movement and time for new opportunities.
